The eastern edge of Downtown Ferndale will see a new mixed-use development, now that a number of contiguous clustered properties have been granted approval by the city. Vester Square will feature dining, commercial/retail, residential, and green space, in the area west of Campbell and north of 9 Mile. The $20-$25M project will feature both new construction and the renovation of existing buildings; the residential component will feature 8 upper level residential units above ground floor commercial/office space, in the newly constructed 6,048 sqft mixed-use building. Existing businesses in the area Search Optics, Voyager, and Incubizo will remain a part of the new development, with renovations and construction going on around them.
