Sure, we’ve seen tear-downs and the on-your-lot thing in The Pointes, but a new neighborhood in Grosse Pointe Shores? Not something we come across everyday.
Nonetheless, C & G Newspapers recently reported that Deeplands Development Company is trying to turn an 8-acre parcel on Deeplands Road (just a couple blocks from Lake St. Clair), into an 18-home subdivision. Details are limited about what the homes will look like, but at an estimated $1M to $1.5M price tag, we’ll go out on a limb and say “nice.” Potentially, “very nice.” Not surprisingly, neighbors are fighting the plans, and it seems they played a role in preventing a high-end condo development on the property from moving forward, so stay tuned…
