BRUSH PARK

September 26, 2016

The massive City Modern at Brush Park development in Detroit is underway and with it, participation from a prominent suburban residential builder for the first time in that area since Crosswinds Communities developed Woodward Place.

In the next month or so, Hunter Pasteur Homes will being pre-sales for the only component of the project that will be for sale; the rest of the residential units will be for rent.

Featuring 2 & 3 bedroom Carriage and Townhomes priced from $350k-$700k+ and ranging in size from 1,400 sqft to 3,100 sqft, the units will also include 1-2 car attached garages and offer optional roof top terraces.

In addition to the 97 units being built by HP, there will be a over 300 additional rental units and more than 20,000 sqft of retail space.

Some are comparing the project to Lafayette Park, which was built in the 1950’s by heralded modernist designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, in terms of scope and style.  Unlike other projects from that period, Lafayette Park has remained in demand.

While there are no immediate plans for additional projects by HP in the area, it’s rumored they will continue their foray into Detroit if Brush Park is a success.
