WOODWARD @ MIDTOWN

It appears the Woodward @ Midtown will finally break ground next month. The project, which seems to have been in the works forever – first as a medical/office building, and now as a mixed-use development – will cover the long-vacant parcel of land on the southwest corner of Woodward and Stimson Street.  Located just a couple blocks north of Little Caesars Arena, the $40M development is expected to include 134 apartments, 15,000 sqft of retail space (including a second location for Kuzzo’s Chicken & Waffles), and a 150-space parking deck.  The developer, Queen Lillian II LLC, is made up of a consortium of local Detroit businessmen, including former Detroit City Council President (and our favorite Beverly Hills Cop police chief), Gil Hill.  Unfortunately all of these units will be for rent, not for purchase; you can read more about the project via Crain’s Detroit Business, here.  If you’re in the market for new construction “for purchase” developments in Midtown, Downtown, Brush Park, Corktown, or other sections of the city, let’s chat!
