TOPPING OUT

NEXT UP, THE RESIDENCES AT EDITION DETROIT TAKE SHAPE.

Late last month, the most prominent addition to the Detroit skyline in over 30 years topped out, as the final beam was set in place 685 feet above Woodward Avenue.

With that milestone, new details about the Hudson’s Detroit project were released, including the announcement that General Motors would be the anchor tenant in the mid-rise building on the north side of the site, and that luxury lifestyle hotel brand EDITION would take over the tower – including the residential component!

The 49-story skyscraper will feature The Detroit EDITION Hotel on the lower floors, while The Residences at the Detroit EDITION will rise above the city on the upper floors.

Despite the total number of residential units fluctuating since the project’s initial announcement, it appears they have landed on 97 as the final number of luxury condominiums that will be available for purchase.

We’ve also learned that the floor plans to be offered will include studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom options, with prices ranging from $550K to $3M+.

Finally, we can confirm that more than 14,000 square feet of exclusive, residents-only indoor and outdoor amenities will be offered (including a private entrance, separate from the hotel), in addition to shared access to amenities with the hotel including a fitness center, outdoor terrace, pool and services such as valet parking, in-residence dining, housekeeping and other day-to-day offerings.

Edmund Place by Robertson Brothers Homes in Brush Park (pictured above) opened last week, with prices ranging from the mid-$300s to upwards of $700K. Located at John R and Edmund (just 1-block west of Woodward), the smaller units will represent some of the most affordable options in the now ultra pricey Midtown neighborhood.

Lombardo Homes opened Windermere Farms over the weekend, offering ranch and split-level condos in Macomb. Located near Heydenreich and M-59, plans range in size from 1,345 to 1,600+ sqft, with 2 bed/2-2.5 bath offerings, and priced from the $330s.

M/I Homes hosted the official ribbon cutting for their newest community on Monday, Cobblestone Creek Woodlands in Van Buren Township. Offering single-family homes starting in the $360s, the location offers commute-friendly access to Detroit and Ann Arbor.
