After a trying/challenging/unprecedented school year in 2020-21, things were looking up for the coming school year. But now, as some of us continue to freedom when we need to science, things are looking a little questionable. Again. Sigh.
Despite not wanting to have ANYTHING TO DO WITH ANOTHER YEAR OF HOME-SCHOOLING (and we seriously can’t ALL-CAPS that enough), we are going to refrain from our annual “Oops it’s August and you forgot to buy a house before the school-year” reminder and revise it to “How’s your living room/classroom situation… just in case.”
If your answer is “not good” maybe we should consider looking at some options that don’t exist in your current home, but are common components of a newly built, modern floorplan; planning centers, loft space, finished basements with ceilings higher than 4′ tall, etc.

Hudson’s Tower | Detroit
Being that August and mid-pandemic are traditionally slower times of year for development news, we figured we would check in on one of our favorite projects currently under construction; the Hudson’s Tower (or whatever it’s being called), on the site of the former Hudson’s warehouse on Woodward. We can spend hours watching time-lapse videos of development and construction, but what we really love is checking out all the various mock-ups of how the skyline will look once the building is complete.
