Yes, we are aware that you’ve likely heard about Ford Motor Company’s stunning purchase of the Michigan Central Station, and the likely revitalization of Michigan Avenue – from Corktown to Dearborn – that is to follow. However, lost in the talk of the office and retail details, is the news that there are plans for a residential component. According to Roger Gaudette, director of Detroit operations for Ford Land, “the intent would be residential on the top two floors of the train station.” Details are obviously preliminary (and limited) but with the potential views from the top of the MCS, our guess is these units would be equal parts amazing and expensive.
We will update this blog as more information becomes available, but in the meantime, check out this article from Daily Detroit for more info.
