LET’S GO ENCLAVING!

The Vanguard Building Group has begun demolition of existing structures to make way for a new development on the north side of 24 Mile, just east of Schoenherr. Two neighborhoods, featuring 39 single family homes and 16 maintenance-free village homes, will be called “The Enclave” and “Enclave Village” respectively.

If those names sound familiar, it’s because you’ve probably heard us mention the “Enclaves of Northville” recently, as well as “The Enclaves” in Rochester, or perhaps the Enclaves of Lyon in South Lyon and seriously, is this the best you can do builders/developers? Are there no other names out there? We remember a time when you would work the words “Oak” or “Forest” or maybe “Oak Forest” into the name of a new neighborhood, but now everything is just all enclavy.
