The former headquarters of ePrize (now HelloWorld, Inc.) in Pleasant Ridge, is about to be transformed in to the $32M Iron Ridge Project; featuring a new brewery, a new market, and roughly 75 new apartments. The 13-acre industrial site on the border of Ferndale & Pleasant Ridge, will piece together roughly 17 parcels on both the east and west sides of Bermuda, just south side of 10 Mile.
The residential component is expected to run along the east side of Bermuda, while the rest of the project will be on the west side of the street. In addition to the brewery and the market, the western section of the development is expected to include a biergarten (or, beer garden, for those of you who don’t speak German), office, retail and fitness space.
Developer Iron Ridge Holdings, LLC, who recently received $3.5M in brownfield financing towards the project from the Michigan Strategic Fund, plans to complete Iron Ridge within two years – though there has been no mention as to when the project will start. Read more about the plans from Crain’s Detroit, or via this PDF from the Pleasant Ridge City Commission…
