The ending of a year usually leaves us feeling a bit melancholy, but our anticipation of a great year to come excites and inspires us to move forward. Most of us make resolutions, and often they are focused on our health- going to the gym, losing weight, improving our diet, for example. Sometimes we succeed, and other times we give up vowing to try again next year.
But this year feels different where our health is concerned. It goes without saying that 2020 presented a unique set of challenges, but it has led to a new mindset around health for many people. Improving or maintaining health has moved up to the top of the priority list and succeeding has become essential.
So, what’s your health goal for 2021?
If you resolve every year to improve your diet, but never quite get there, don’t be hard on yourself. Making lasting change requires a strategy and if you don’t have that in place, you will struggle to keep going with your new healthier habits.
My goal for the new year is to help you get to the place where healthier eating is not just a far off goal, but part of your routine. It should be delicious and doable, and the way you look and feel will keep you loyal to your healthier lifestyle. Can you imagine feeling more energy, improving your skin, your digestion, and your immune system?
The saying is true, “Health is like money; we never have a true idea of its value until we lose it”
