Ahh, yes summer vacation – when our entire newsletter staff takes off for camp, or to get fitted for braces, or whatever else middle schoolers do over the summer. Which means Lou & Jeff are solely responsible for the July newsletter, which also means a 100% chance of more pictures, fragmented sentences, and fewer words. Lol, those two.

It doesn’t matter though – nothing has changed; inventory is still meh, specs are still hard to find, and everything that has been written and re-written over the past few months remains the same.

Chasewood Villas| Farmington Hills

Citing density and the proximity between units, the Farmington Hills City Council voted 5-2 to deny a proposal by Pulte for 26 ranch style homes at the site of the former Piemontese Social Club. Located on the north side of 9 Mile between I-275 and Halsted, Pulte originally planned for 30 units on the 10 acre parcel, but council members and neighbors still weren’t interested in the revised site plan. Hopefully Pulte will continue to make revisions (and the naysayers will reconsider), because this product is very much needed in the area… [read more]

Scripps Development | Woodridge

Robertson Brothers Homes is working on a joint venture that would bring 65 townhomes to the site of the former Scripps Mansion, in Detroit’s historic Woodbridge neighborhood. Located near W. Grand River & Trumbull (just north of the Motor City Casino), plans appear to include restoring the mansion’s former boiler house – the only remaining portion of the home, the rest of which fell victim to arson in the ’80s.
