Summer concert tours be damned, for the second straight August we’ve embarked on a better option; touring the current inventory from Lynch Custom Homes.
Just as they did last August, Dan Lynch and his crew offered to take us through their current collection of spec homes, and we enthusiastically accepted. As we do.
As always, the homes did not disappoint; but for us, 591 Catalpa in Birmingham was the show-stopper.
From an exterior elevation bathed in detail with depths and contrasts, to interior elements that focus on space and light, it is adorned with the latest design features and technological advances inside and out.
Or to put it plainly, it’s awesome.

AUGUST 2024 NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATES
When it comes to South Lyon, Lombardo is just all up and in it these days, so here is an update on the six (6) neighborhoods they currently have active or opening soon in our favorite direction of Lyon:
Heights at Elbow Farms: priced from the mid $500s, they are nearing closeout with only 3 lots left.
Hickory Creek: is now open, with estate size lots (nearly half an acre or larger), starting in the mid $600s.
Estates at Hustfield: the final phase is now open, and with prices starting in the upper $400s, it’s no surprise that people started camping out 3 days in advance for the most recent release of lots.
Sterling Creek: scheduled to open this fall, expect pricing to start somewhere in the low $600s.
And finally, Crystal Creek and Windridge Estates (pictured above) are moving along, with prices starting in the upper $600s and mid $700s respectively; both are now in the final stretch.
LINCOLN PLACE | ROYAL OAK
Yet another apartment development is making it’s way through the development process, reminding us once again of all the new rental options currently available or on the horizon in Royal Oak, juxtaposed with the massive hole in the market that is for-sale new condo units. Located on the north side of Lincoln, just east of Main Street (east of the railroad tracks), 158 units are expected, and again, none of them for sale.
