Plans are in place for a project that, if approved, would change the look of Ann Arbor’s skyline. The 19-story mixed-use development on Washington Street (west of State Street), is seeking approval from city council; several parcels behind the Michigan Theater would be combined for the new building, which would feature over 6,000 sqft of retail space and more than 240 apartments. Bloomfield Hills-based developer Howard Frehsee of Cerca Trova LLC is teaming up with Chicago developer CA Ventures on the project which, at 218 feet tall, would be among the tallest in the city.
Of course, our hope is that at some point in development they decide to make some of the rental units available for purchase, but at this time, that seems unlikely. As we say, stay tuned…
