Lori Fernald
Former Toll Brothers, Shapell, Robson, Greenbriar & Dividend Sales Manager
Realtor
As a teenager, I worked for my father’s landscaping company that had projects in several new home communities. One day, we went to work in a new home community and I stopped into a sales office with several model homes. After meeting the sales representative at that community and learning about the industry, I knew right away that I wanted to work for a home builder after graduating college. I asked the agent, how do I get a job like yours? She told me the best way to become a sales representative for a builder is to go work at a staffing company that specializes in placing new home sales interns.
I did exactly what she told me. While still in college, I earned my Real Estate License. After graduating from Sacramento State University with a degree in Marketing and Management, I got a job working for New Home Professionals. Working there allowed me to intern for builders such as KB homes, Shea, Pulte, DR Horton, Toll Brothers, and more. I learned how these companies operated and more importantly I developed many strong relationships within the new home sales community.
In order to learn more about Real Estate, I decided to acquire my Real Estate Broker's license. I was then offered a full time Sales position with Toll Brothers. Working for Toll Brothers taught me the ins and outs of new home sales. However, I now realize I can be more productive going into business for myself and not limit myself to one builder and one neighborhood. I'm using the knowledge I gained from the new home industry to start my own Real Estate business focusing on helping my clients get a good deal on a new home. I partnered up with Lori, a veteran with 20 years of experience! Together, we make a powerful team!
